Sealless Pressure Regulating Valves

Sealless Pressure Regulating Valve

C-Series Wanner® pressure regulating valves bypass system fluid so discharge pressure cannot exceed the set point. When the discharge is fully closed — spray gun shut, valve closed, nozzle plugged — the valve bypasses the entire pump flow. On multi-orifice systems they hold pressure by sending the unused flow to bypass.

The design is a spring-loaded tapered plunger on a seat. When system pressure exceeds the spring setting, the plunger lifts only far enough to keep pressure from going higher. Part or all of the flow then leaves the bypass — back to the feed tank, into the inlet line, or to drain. Baffles inside the body turn the flow around the plunger and seat so the metal does not erode as fast.

The sealless layout has no packing leak path. That is why these valves are used on hazardous fluids and on dirty, high-pressure streams that would cut a conventional stem seal.

The plunger and seat come out from the top of the body. Change them in place. You do not have to break the pipe joints.
