P100 Series Metering Pump
Metering pump flow rates from 0.7 to 26 GPH
The P100 Hydra Cell metering pump satisfies API 675 metering pump performance standards in terms of repeatability, linearity and steady-state accuracy across a flow range of 0.70 to 26 GPH and pressures from 50 to 1500 PSI. P100 Hydra Cell pumps meter a broad range of fluids, everything from clear water to viscous or abrasive slurries. The picture of the P100 Hydra Cell pump above shows the pump with a right-angle gearbox to which an 1800 RPM 56C NEMA frame motor is attached. We offer (10) different gearbox ratios which determine the maximum flow rate based upon the pump shaft RPM. If you incorporate a programmable pump controller (variable frequency drive; "VFD") you can maintain metering accuracy within a 10:1 turndown ratio.
The P100 Hydra-Cell pump is a standard model F20 Hydra-Cell pump with the addition of the gearbox. We add the gearbox to reduce the shaft torque required for lower RPM (flow rate) performance, which reduces both the motor horsepower and VFD size required. Therefore, the P100 Hydra-Cell pump is used in lieu of the F20 Hydra-Cell pump in support of flow rates < 0.5 GPM (<30 GPH).
Although the P100 Hydra-Cell pump is a simplex chamber design, it provides a smooth and gentle pumping performance due to the relatively high pulsation frequency. Each rotation of the pump shaft generates two pulses, resulting in 1 to 12 pulses per second depending upon the gearbox ratio used.
If you require control for multiple batches or several pumps simultaneously, consider our "Control Freak" touch-screen PLC and VFD control system.
Simplistic Design = Unmatched Reliability!
The only components in contact with the process fluid are the diaphragm, o-rings and check valves. Unless there is chemical attack to the diaphragms, they are not considered a wear item, it is only the check valves that eventually wear and need replacement. The check valves are easily replaced by removing (6) capscrews, so there's no need for special tools and often the check valves can be replaced without removing the pump from the system.
We can supply single and three phase motors, inverter-duty motors, explosion-proof motors, etc... so ultimately you'll need to contact us via phone or email to provide us with all of your design criteria. The best way we can begin assisting you is to use our online application based inquiry form, which we can usually reply to with a proposal within 24 hours.
