The Wanner Hydra-Cell® Pro PH60 is a hygienic version of the H25 Hydra-Cell Pro pump. The pump-head design satisfies the cleanability characteristics required for high-purity liquid applications in the biopharmaceutical, food/beverage, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and ultra-pure water (semiconductor) industries.
Its three-chamber design delivers a smooth flow rate and is compatible with most shear-sensitive liquid applications. Although the pump is capable of higher pressures, the majority of installations involve the transfer of delicate products that are challenging to pump because they are non-lubricating, contain particulate, are viscous, are at extreme temperature — or combinations of these conditions.

The Hydra-Cell design has no dynamic seal between the process liquid and the mechanical side of the pump. Reliability comes in part from its minimalist construction — few components contact the pumped liquid. Elimination of a dynamic seal significantly reduces the potential for fugitive emissions and process contamination.
Hydra-Cell pumps can operate dry and are undamaged by cavitation or a fully closed inlet. The only practical ways to damage a Hydra-Cell pump are to operate it beyond its design pressure or temperature limits or to pump a liquid incompatible with its materials of construction.
Because the PH60 can be run dry, residual liquid volume inside the pump head can be minimized. The pump is typically cleaned or sterilized internally using steam or by circulating a sanitizing liquid.
The relatively high flow rate and pressure capability of the PH60 align well with clean-in-place (CIP) systems, ultra-pure water generation and spray-drying applications, as well as the transfer of delicate, non-lubricating, particulate-laden, viscous or extreme-temperature products.
