Vector Model 2007 Peristaltic Pump

Dry-Case Roller Design — 2″ Hose, up to 40.5 GPM at 100 PSI

The Vector 2007 is a 2″ industrial roller-style peristaltic pump for transfer duties up to 40.5 GPM. A dry case and rotating rollers pinch the hose, so the only wear part in contact with the process fluid is the hose itself. When the pump is operated at ≤50 RPM for ≤8 hours per day, typical hose life is 1,000–2,000 hours.

The dry roller design is especially useful for food and fine-chemical duties that cannot tolerate glycerin- or glycol-lubricated hose pumps. The 2007 is self-priming, can run dry without damage, and is fully reversible.

Application Example — Bean Paste Transfer

The photos below show a 2007 transferring wet, pasty beans. The plant had previously used a hopper-fed progressing cavity pump; the hopper clogged and the pump needed frequent, expensive repairs. The 2007 eliminated the hopper restriction and reduced maintenance to hose changes.

Hose Materials & Connections

Hose materials for the 2007 are EPDM, Hypalon, natural rubber (standard and heavy-duty), oil-rated nitrile and Varprene. Pressure and temperature limits differ by material. We can review chemical compatibility and provide samples for soak testing when needed.

• Extruded hose — Varprene, limited to 30 PSIG. Preferred for foods and clean fluids at lower pressure.
• Fiber-braided hoses — EPDM, Hypalon, nitrile and natural rubber. Heavy-duty natural rubber and oil-rated nitrile are rated to 100 PSIG. Preferred for abrasives, stronger vacuum and the higher pressure ratings. Typical life 1,500–2,000 hours at 30 RPM.

Connections are hose barb, male NPT, ANSI flange or tri-clamp and are offered in PTFE, carbon steel and 316 stainless steel. PTFE hose barb and PTFE NPT fittings are limited to 60 PSIG.

Gear-Motor Options

Six gear-motor speeds are offered as 230–460 VAC three-phase TEFC, from 1½ HP to 3 HP. Single-phase motors can be supplied on request. Maximum pressure is higher with heavy-duty fiber-braided hose:

Shaft-drive configuration (no motor) is also available. The 100 PSI rating applies to heavy-duty fiber-braided hose at the lower speeds. 40.5 GPM is an intermittent rating.
