The Wanner Hydra-Cell Pro® P600 metering pump provides API 675 compliant performance for steady-state accuracy, linearity and repeatability at flow rates as high as 894 GPH and pressures to 1,000 PSI.
Its seal-less design enables reliable metering of a broad range of difficult fluids. The system shown below is installed for aqueous ammonia (catalyst) injection at a power plant. Conventional pumps that rely on mechanical seals, cups or packing create eventual leakage pathways that can produce fugitive emissions and damage system components. The P600 eliminates those paths and reliably handles non-lubricating, abrasive and extreme-temperature fluids.
| Specification | Details |
|---|---|
| Flow Range | 22 to 894 GPH |
| Maximum Pressure | 1,000 PSI |
| Design | Seal-less diaphragm (based on H25) with gearbox |
| Flow Control | Shaft-speed controlled (gearbox + optional VFD) |
| Base Model | Hydra-Cell Pro H25 |
Flow rate is controlled by pump shaft speed. The P600 is a standard Hydra-Cell Pro Model H25 pump fitted with a right-angle gearbox that mechanically reduces shaft speed for lower flow rates while minimizing motor and VFD horsepower. When a specific flow range is required, a variable-frequency drive is added.
Most VFDs offer programmability and can interface with a customer-supplied PLC.
The only components in contact with the pumped fluid are the elastomers and check valves. Elastomers have no defined wear life — testing for approximately 20,000 hours of continuous operation showed no appreciable wear. Check valves typically last 6,570–8,760 hours (9–12 months of continuous operation), depending on fluid characteristics and the materials selected.
Check valves are easily replaced without special tools or training. In many cases the change-out can be completed without removing the pump from the process line and within about 90 minutes.
Complete pump/motor/VFD/PLC assemblies are available. Provide your design criteria and we will size the motor and optional controllers accordingly.
