Our liquid level sensors provide highly accurate and repeatable measurements for most industrial applications. We offer two styles, the HLS and the TLU series, both are are designed to be completely submerged within the application fluid, resting the transmitter along the bottom of the tank or suspended at any desired level within the tank.
The physical location of the level sensor indicates the lowest level of measurement within the tank, meaning the sensor will not measure the liquid below the sensor.
The HLS series has a CPVC body with PTFE coated cable and is suitable for most industrial applications where a CPVC body with either FPM or EPDM seals is a compatible material. The ¼% full scale accuracy of the HLS is unaffected by surface foaming and head space vapors. The pressure is sensed via an alumina diaphragm with the input cable having a three-way seal. There are two versions, one for up to 15 foot depths and one for up to 33 foot depths. The standard input cables are 30 and 50 feet respectively and we can provide longer cable lengths if required.
The input power is 10-35 VDC and the output signal is 4-20 mA. Our liquid level sensors are calibrated based upon water, if your fluid isn't water it is necessary to divide the sensor reading (feet of water) by the fluids specific gravity to calculate the distance above the sensor.
TLU Series liquid level sensors are designed for more aggressive fluids, having a body made from polypropylene or PVDF and for levels up to 34 feet.
