The Hydra-Cell Q330 sealless high pressure pump is a higher
pressure version of the
Hydra-cell Q155 pump. This
behemoth beast of a pump having dimensions of 5' x 4' x 2'
weighs 5,000 lbs! Its quintuplex design (five pump
chambers) operates sequentially to provide a smooth, pulse-free
flow, easily satisfying API 674 requirements. Unlike
triplex and quintuplex reciprocating plunger pumps, Hydra-Cell
330 pumps are sealless and do not require complex seals and
packing to prevent fugitive emissions. The sealless design
contributes to its extreme reliability and low cost of ownership
as only the check valves will require periodic replacement.
Closed or restricted inlet condition? Not a problem
for Hydra-Cell 330 pumps because their patented design is not
dependent upon the fluid being pumped for internal lubrication or
cooling. Reciprocating plunger pumps are inherently less
reliable because their expensive seals are quickly damaged by
poor inlet conditions and abrasive fluids. Whereas a
reciprocating plunger pump requires special designs to handle
packing gland lubrication and dual mechanical seals to reduce
fugitive emissions, nothing of the sort is required for
Hydra-Cell Q330 pumps because there are no seals!
Popular applications for
Hydra-Cell 330 pumps are sea water injection, produced
water disposal, seawater desalination, boiler feed, high
pressure descaling in steel mills, pipeline pigging and glycol
circulation.
The pump heads of Hydra-cell 330 pumps are
manufactured from cast nickel aluminum bronze and are available
with either Buna-N or FKM elastomers. The check valves are
available in 316SS and other alloys such as Hastelloy C.
The power end materials are cast from ductile iron. These
pumps will handle 800 micron (0.03") solids and have a 6" 300#
RF ANSI flanged inlet port. Its outlet port has a 3" 2500#
RTJ ANSI flange and the shaft rotation is unidirectional.
