F20 Hydra Cell PumpF21 Hydra Cell Pump with polypropylene pump head

The F20 Hydra-Cell™ Pump is a sealless simplex diaphragm pump for flow rates up to 1 GPM at pressures up to 1500 PSI.  The F20 Hydra-Cell pump has a hollow pump shaft to bolt directly to a 56C NEMA frame motor for a very compact pump and motor assembly.  The F21 and F22 Hydra Cell pumps have a male shaft coupled to a motor with a rigid adapter to ensure positive shaft alignment.

The unique sealless pump design of the F20 Hydra Cell pump enables it to be used in a variety of applications because it is not dependent upon the fluid pumped for lubrication or cooling.  Pumping reclaimed fluids, hazardous chemicals and fluids at extreme temperatures are no problem for F20 Hydra Cell pumps.

Conventionally sealed pumps having mechanical seals, cups and packing eventually leak and they have limitations with regards to the particulate they can handle.  F20 Hydra-Cell pumps can operate dry and are undamaged by a clogged or closed suction condition.

Recent applications for F20's include pumping CO2 for Merck Rahway's R & D facility for their cryogenic lab workstations, pumping aqueous ammonia at a Hell's Gate NY power plant and surfactant injection for a manufacturer of snow making equipment.

Simplicity = Reliability

The only components exposed to the pumped fluid are the diaphragm, o-rings and check valve assemblies.  While the diaphragms do not have "flex to failure" wear life, the check valves will eventually wear out and require replacement.  The typical wear life for check valves is 6570-8760 hours (9-12 months) of continuous operation.  The valves and seats are offered in a variety of materials to maximize chemical and abrasion resistance.

Check valves are very easy to replace and require no special tools or training; the swap-out typically requires less than an hour and often the pump can be let installed in the system.
