Wanner™ Hydra-Cell® Pro model P500 Series High Pressure Metering Pump

Metering pumps for flow rates from 12 to 426 GPH

P500 Series Metering Pump

Wanner™ Hydra-Cell® Pro model P500 metering pumps are designed for applications requiring high pressure; within the  1,000 ≤ 2,500 PSI range.  Applications requiring lower pressures within this flow range would be better suited for the Hydra Cell Pro Model 600 metering pump.  Customers use the P500 Hydra Cell Pro for it's smooth flow rate and sealless design to satisfy API 675 metering pump performance standards with regards to steady state accuracy, linearity and repeatability.

The P500 Hydra Cell Pro metering pump is a standard model Hydra Cell Pro Model D15 pump attached to a gearbox, which mechanically reduces the pump shaft speed while maintaining constant shaft torque.  This reduces the horsepower required, especially if further turndown is required with a variable frequency drive (VFD).

The flow rate for P500 Hydra Cell Pro pumps are determined by the shaft speed, because as a positive displacement pump each shaft rotation displaces a fixed volume of fluid. Most VFD's have some programmability and can be interfaced with a customer supplied PLC.  We also offer our own touch-screen PLC/VFD control package called the Control Freak which will precisely control up to (6) Hydra Cell metering pumps simultaneously.

The sealless design of P500 Hydra Cell Pro pumps not only enable them to process difficult to pump fluids, such as injecting disodium phosphate for boiler treatment, it also simplifies the process end of the pump.  The only wear components in contact with the pumped fluid are its (10) check valves.  After 9-12 months of continuous operation (6,570-8,760 hours) the valves and seats wear and require replacement.  This is easily accomplished without special tools by removing (10) cap screws and the pump manifold.  Changing the check valves is typically accomplished within 90 minutes and often can be done without removing the pump body from the system.  Such maintenance is significantly less expensive compared to pumps having mechanical seals and check valve wear is gradual, not catastrophic.

To provide an itemized proposal for a complete pump/motor/VFD/PLC assembly we require additional information for proper sizing.  The best thing to do is to review our P500 Hydra Cell Pro pump catalog pages and then complete our Hydra Cell pump inquiry form to provide us with the design criteria.  We reply the same or next day; you can also call a sales engineering for immediate assistance.
