The Wanner Hydra-Cell^® Pro PH70 positive-displacement pump is used for pharmaceutical and related applications in the biotechnology, food/beverage, cosmetics, nutraceuticals and semiconductor industries. These industries share similar requirements for a seal-less, sanitary pump design that can reliably handle a variety of non-lubricating fluids of differing viscosities.

Sanitary Design Based on the D35

The PH70 is based on the industrial Model D35 Hydra-Cell Pro pump, which uses a pentaplex (five-pump-chamber) design. The pharmaceutical version incorporates a sanitary pump head with the following modifications:

• All wetted surfaces polished to ≤ 0.8 Ra
• Fully traceable materials
• TSE/BSE-free construction
• Elastomers that satisfy FDA material requirements

Performance Advantages

The PH70 delivers a nearly pulse-free flow rate with accuracy that exceeds API 675 metering-pump standards for repeatability, steady-state accuracy and linearity. Its gentle pumping action is compatible with shear-sensitive liquids, while its seal-less reliability remains unmatched for pumping liquid slurries, abrasives, corrosives and non-lubricating fluids.
