Seal-Less Pump — up to 3.1 GPM at pressures to 580 PSI

The Wanner Hydra-Cell^® Pro PH10 is a pharmaceutical version of the proven D/M/G 03 series Hydra-Cell Pro pump. It retains the same seal-less hydraulic end while incorporating a modified pump head and fully traceable materials of construction required for pharmaceutical and sanitary service.

Because there are no dynamic seals in contact with the process liquid, the PH10 reliably handles non-lubricating fluids, particulate-laden liquids, and extreme temperatures — conditions that quickly damage conventionally sealed positive-displacement pumps and increase the risk of process contamination or fugitive emissions. Typical examples include high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) and other high-purity duties.

Pharmaceutical Modifications

Standard industrial and metering Hydra-Cell Pro designs do not meet the stringent documentation and material requirements of pharmaceutical applications. The PH10 pump end and components are therefore modified to provide:

• USP Class VI compliance
• TSE/BSE-free materials
• Full material traceability
• Wetted surfaces polished to 0.8 Ra or better

Applications

The same proven capabilities that have served industrial users for more than 50 years — clean-in-place (CIP), spray drying, coating, nano-filtration and ultrafiltration — are now available to the pharmaceutical industry. Additional pharmaceutical-specific duties include:

• Virus filtration
• Buffer formulation
• Transfer of shear-sensitive biological materials

Pumping accuracy satisfies API 675 standards for steady-state accuracy, linearity and repeatability. A 10:1 flow turndown is available with standard motors, and the multi-diaphragm design produces a very low, almost undetectable level of pulsation.
