Wanner™ Hydra-Cell^® Pro model PH10 Pharmaceutical Pump

Wanner™ Hydra-Cell^® Pro model PH10 is a variation of the model D/M/G 03 series Hydra-Cell Pro pump having modified pump head with traceable materials of construction.

The underlying design is per our industrial and metering Hydra-Cell Pro hydraulic end: a positive displacement pump having no dynamic seals in contact with the process liquid.  This is an advantageous design for non-lubricating liquids, particulate laden liquids or when the liquid temperature is extremely cold or hot.  Such liquid characteristics damage conventionally sealed positive displacement pumps, reducing their reliability, increasing chance for process contamination and fugitive emissions.  An example of such an application is high performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).

The standard industrial and metering pump designs do not meet the stringent requirements of pharmaceutical applications and thus the pump ends and components are modified for:

• USP Class VI Compliance

• TSE/BSE-free materials

• Full material traceability

• Wetted surfaces polished to 0.8 Ra or less

The types of applications our pumps have been used for over 50 years (clean in place, spray drying, coating, nano and ultrafiltration) can now be extended to the pharmaceutical industry which also has unique applications such as virus filtration, buffer formulation and transfer of shear sensitive biological materials.

The pumping accuracy of the PH series satisfies API 675 metering pump standards with regards to steady-state accuracy, linearity and repeatability.  A 10:1 turndown of flow rate is possible with standard motors and the output has a very low, almost undetectable level of pulsation.
