Wanner™ Hydra-Cell^® Pro model PH30 Pharmaceutical Pump

Wanner™ Hydra-Cell^® Pro model PH30 is the pharmaceutical variation of the industrial model D10 Hydra-Cell Pro Pump.  Hydra-Cell Pro pumps are sealless positive displacement pumps and sometimes used for precision metering applications.  Having no dynamic seals enables them to reliably pump difficult to pump liquids, such as non-lubricating, abrasive and hazardous liquids which are problematic for pumps having cups, packing and mechanical seals.  Dynamic seals can be expensive to maintain and are the source of fugitive emissions.

The Hydra-Cell Pro pump design simplifies the pumping mechanism, reducing it to a pair of spring loaded check valves and diaphragm per pump chamber.  The result is extreme reliability for a broad range of applications, especially for liquids which are "difficult" to reliably pump.

Until the PH variation, our pumps were utilized for a variety of applications involving filtration, coating, cooling and cleaning applications.  The PH variation enables Hydra-Cell Pro pumps to be applied in more stringent applications found in pharmaceutical and food products manufacturing.

PH30 Hydra-Cell Pro Pumps have ASME BPE flanged connections and its wetted surfaces are polished to 0.8 Ra (and lower).  This is the main difference between the PH series and industrial versions.  All of the materials are traceable and documented; the materials are TSE/BSE-free and elastomers are FDA compliant.

As with all Hydra-Cell Pro pump designs, the PH series delivers flow with a barely perceptible pulsation characteristic and thus easily pump shear sensitive liquids and are compatible with nano-, ultra- and RO membrane filtration equipment.  Hydra-Cell Pro pumps can operate dry and in the pharmaceutical industry are used for Flow Chemistry & Tangential Flow Filtration, High Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), Low Pressure Liquid Chromatography (LPLC), Virus Filtration, Buffer Formulation, Upstream and Downstream, Shear-Sensitive and Biological Material Fluid Transfer, Blending and Injection, Coating, Spray Drying and Clean in Place (CIP) applications.
