PVC & Glass Cylinders for Accurate Flow Verification

Calibration cylinders give you an accurate indication of actual pump flow rate under the specific conditions of your application — fluid viscosity, suction conditions, pump location relative to the fluid source, and the current wear state of pump components.

Installed on the suction side of a positive-displacement pump, the calibrated column is allowed to draw down for a measured time interval. The volume change is then converted into a precise flow rate. This “drawdown” method confirms that the metering pump is delivering the dose you expect.

When to Calibrate

Perform a calibration:

• Whenever fluid characteristics change (viscosity, temperature, specific gravity)
• After any pump repair or component replacement
• Any time process conditions or pump performance may have been affected

Regular verification helps maintain the accuracy, linearity and repeatability required by API 675 metering applications.

Materials & Connection Options

We supply calibration cylinders in both PVC and glass constructions to match chemical compatibility and visibility requirements. Part numbers commonly stocked include 111-010, 111-001, 111-011, 111-003, 111-013, 111-004, 111-014 and 111-006.

To simplify installation we also offer two-way and three-way ball valves in both alloy and non-alloy materials so the cylinder can be cleanly isolated and connected to your pump suction piping.
