Delivery of high velocity coolant at a constant pressure
Wanner Hydra-Cell Pro® high-pressure coolant pumps are sealless. No cups, packing or mechanical seals — the parts that usually wear out first on a high-pressure centrifugal or piston coolant pump. That is why they stay on line pumping reclaimed machine-tool coolant. Maintenance is oil changes and check valves about every 4,000 hours (six months).
Conventional coolant pumps often want filtration down to 25 micron. That fine a cut can strip the additives that make the coolant work, and it runs up media, labor and disposal cost.
A Hydra-Cell Pro® coolant pump is usually protected with a 40 mesh (400 micron) screen or bag. Filtration is then set by the rotary union and the rest of the circuit, not by the pump.
We build complete pump/motor skids from the flow and pressure the machine needs. Your tooling house can look up the largest tool and give the coolant rate at the pressure you want. That is enough for an itemized proposal.
