The ultimate in sealless pumping technology, Stan-Cor MK series Mag-Drive ANSI Centrifugal pumps are made from solid Kynar. These are ideal for applications that require durability and performance on dirty, difficult fluids. There are no liners to separate or collapse, no permeation and the impellers can be trimmed to your application.
MK ANSI pumps conform to ANSI B73.1 specifications and would be an excellent cost saving alternative to expensive alloy pumps. Stan-Cor pumps eliminate the wicking associated with many fiberglass pumps and complications of lined pumps.
Unique Design
Patented thrust balancing system eliminates axial loads to dramatically reduce wear and heat generated from friction. Inner magnet and impeller assembly float axially.
Dual Volute
The MK4 and MK12 have dual volute casing design which lowers radial bearing loads to provide longer life and allows continuous operation anywhere between 1 M3/H to full flow.
Magnetic Coupling
Samarium cobalt magnets provide high torque throughout the temperature operating range -20°F to 250°F (-28°C to 121°C). One magnet coupling assembly fits all pumps. This lowers cost and simplifies inventory. The inner magnet is fully Kynar (PVDF) encapsulated – no weld seams no potential leakage.
Enclosed Impeller and Magnet
The impeller and inner magnet is a two-piece, enclosed assembly. When worn, the impeller can be replaced without replacing the magnetic drive which substantially reduces repair cost. Impellers can be trimmed in the field.
Pump Casing
The pump casing is constructed of ¼” (6.35 mm) minimum wall thickness, carbon fiber filled Kynar (PVDF). This is more reliable and without permeation problems commonly found in lined metal casings.
Heat Dissipation
Non-metallic Kynar and carbon fiber-braid containment can superior to a metal can design for eliminating heat generated from eddy currents created by alternating flux lines.
